The Association of Certified Handyman Professionals (or ACHP) is a non-profit, professional association for handymen and women in the United States, Canada, and the UK. Members include handymen and other related professionals, including repair contractors, carpenters, contractors, and other service providers. The Association of Certified Handyman Professionals is governed by a Board of Directors.
What is the mission of the ACHP?
The ACHP seeks to bring organization and uniform standards to a largely unregulated industry. Their aim is two-fold. First, they wish to improve the overall quality of work performed. Second, they hope to connect consumers with the most-qualified professionals in the industry.

Becoming a Member
In order to become a certified member, an individual must complete an application, pass an exam, and pay the annual membership fee. Lifetime memberships are available for an additional cost. The certification is awarded to an individual, not their entire company.
